Did you add this to your router?

import Router from 'vue-router'
import { routerHistory, writeHistory } from 'vue-router-back-button'

Vue.use(Router)
Vue.use(routerHistory)

const router = new Router({
    routes: []
})

router.afterEach(writeHistory)
export default router
