You're absolutely right as to what it does and why. It's something I plan to fix, hopefully after this week (big project due on Friday), or sooner if it gets to really bothering me.

This would be a great improvement, as the menu disappearing immediately is particularly annoying with submenus.

I have been crazy busy. I meant to get to this yesterday along with the other tweaks I've been doing, but another project I am working on launches its new version this week, so it's been on and off with that. Hopefully soon, though!

Yeah... I will admit that it's such a low priority for me because I'm morally against dropdowns, and try not to use them, especially ones with lots of (any) submenus, so I don't have any projects using submenus and so it's a bit of a nonissue for me. ;-)

But I still want to fix it for people that do use them, etc.
