Symbol’s function definition is void: package--prepare-dependencies

Alright, I tried to build a recipe for a package I've already installed from melpa and got the same error. I also tried to clone melpa again and to build a recipe from there, but I got the same package--prepare-dependencies is missing error. I tried to google package--prepare-dependencies but found no results. What is going on?

I suspect you're using an Emacs development build. package-build was fixed recently to account for breakage introduced in Emacs HEAD but that fix hasn't been rolled into the package-build we bundle here.

We can probably just update package-build here to resolve the issue, but I don't quite have time to do that and test it myself just now.
