Your markup could be

All you would need is to pass in a valid jQuery selector that would match it so baz is always a valid selected item

// show foo, plus baz
$('#container').isotope({ filter: '.foo, .baz' });
// show bar, plus baz
$('#container').isotope({ filter: '.bar, .baz' });

I am afraid that it does not work for me. Let me explain it better. In side the elements I have the filters, so the first element include the filters. Its element has its own keywords and I gave one keyword to the filters/element which is .menu

by using: $('#container').isotope({ filter: '.foo, .menu' });
I am getting one default set of elements and menu but when I am selecting any of the keywords/flters the menu is gone.

One way is to pass the hastag .menu to every selection and works but I was asking if there is some more efficient way to do this.

Also how can I have menu always on and as default on the first load be everything on?
