you are absolute right about this, I am sorry that I didnt gave a link with the problem. I thought that maybe was some simple issue already known to you. Here is:

http://jsfiddle.net/dimios/xZuGk/1/ in this link I have class="number" on the first element which makes sorting work right but it keeps moving of-course also the first element and my main point is to keep it always first in sorting and visible in filtering. If the div with the class "number" will deleted from the first element sorting will no work.
