How to install brotli library on ubuntu xenial?

UPDATE: I think i got it working. I was missing a dependency:
compile('org.meteogroup.jbrotli:jbrotli-native-linux-x86-amd64:0.5.0')

I didn't see this in the documentation, got it from the sourcecode and pom.xml out of the subprojects in this repository. This should be described within the documentation or README.

thank you for your comprehensive feedback.
jbrotli brings it's own binaries via pom.xml dependencies.
If you add "org.meteogroup.jbrotli::jbrotli" to your maven or gradle build dependencies,
these build tools should automatically fetch the dependencies.

It seems to me, you're using gradle.
May I ask you to give some information about your build config?
I would like to make sure, my original intended automated dependency fetching works ;-)

• What gradle version?
• global 'gradle' or project-local 'gradlew'?
• what dependencies, when it crashed?
• what dependencies, when it worked?
