Switch away and back breaks GIFs

Are you referring to a situation where the app goes into the background and image disappear?

When I use the standard iOS app switcher to switch out of my app and then back to my app, the image on the Card component disappears.

Is it only with a GIF?

It's definitely affecting the GIFs for me, but not static images. I think it's related to render() optimizing things behind the scenes. Feels like we need to provide a key attribute to to fix

Gifs seem to act weird in Image components in general..

Thanks for the pointer.

While I'm not yet familiar with how RN handles native views, I think I know where to start looking.
If anyone has time to look into this, it seem like the right place to start looking is the connection between RCTImage, RCTBridge and the path it connects to the native view.
