+1 I think most situations are down to templating errors that I have seen or after messing with internal code I managed to make ajax fail (Making the client use a manifest cache and not staling bits) too which gave nothing on the client or server too.

+1, one of the error messages I see the most often in Firefox is:

that.xhr = new _window.ActiveXObject('Microsoft.XMLHTTP');

Which is not helpful to identify quickly the source of the error.

@rajish: I think that in order to fix this it might be more handy to close this issue and create an issue with code that reproduce the case, that way we can work more towards actual fixes such that there are no longer cases of this left behind.

@antoviaque: Given that a lot of time has passed and the sockjs version is different (0.3.1), is this still present?

I haven't used Meteor recently, so I'm not able to confirm if this problem is still present - if you think error messages in templating should be better now, no problem considering my part of the issue closed for now. I can always open another issue later on if I run into again, referencing the current bug.
