Thanks, fixed! Unfortunately there is no reliable way for restarting workers. 'kill -HUP $pid' command is not supported in all platforms and works only if the worker is running in the background as a daemon.

Btw, the reason why HUP only works when running as a daemon is because the HUP signal is always sent by the terminal when the terminal closes (which would cause the worker to restart in the background if you close the window, so this is deliberate).

Thanks for the fix and explanation. I wish I had a more solid
understanding of distributed computing, I would love to help
add/fix/suggest more features in the code base.

let me know if you have any suggestions or tips where I can get start to
learn more about programming distributed network/computing.
