With the addition of metadata in posts (issue #1), a markdown file can specify its content type. This could be used to render different templates depending on this attribute.
Maybe this could be something worth looking into.

The script is now more closely tied to my personal website, so making templates less tied to the script is not something that needs to be done right now. However, it will be necessary for when I release the build script as an independent tool.
