Weird.... it's not happening anymore.

Hey, this happens to me still. I thought it was because I used to have a rather old version of Sy. I've just updated the plugin but it's still not working. I'm using VIM 7.4 but I don't know exactly which patch I'm on.

Hmm. Interesting, it was doing it to me the first time I tried two different buffers in side by side vim-windows, and it was basically switching the other panel's signs off if I refreshed the current buffer with a :e. However, the rest of the day this stopped happening and everything worked perfectly. I'm pretty much not gonna be able to live without this plugin, it's just that helpful. Unfortunately I can no longer comment on this issue because I can no longer reproduce it.

FWIW this was on Vim 7.3 patch 874 (which I understand to be an arbitrary build that I landed my Macbook and CentOS systems on), and everything also appears to function quite well in Vim 7.4 patch 31 (which is a few days old) as well.

It's happening to me too, I have tried with different version of Vim:

  • 7.3 patch 429
  • 7.3 patch 892
  • 7.4 patch 5

Basically only one buffer (split or tab) shows signs, when refreshing the current buffer with :e signs appear but disappear in the other buffers.

I think I may have switched some interfering plugins off before it started working. Maybe try that?

Granted, it was a stupid mistake. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

The problem was only triggered when g:signify_sign_overwrite was 1 (which is the default). That could explain why it was still working for other people.

Thanks for the feedback!
