Not sure where we are with this, but I'm pretty sure I got pull requests working on my system. You do have to fork the repo into your own github account, but if you pull your local repo from there you work on a separate copy until you're ready to merge. Then you hit Pull Request on GitHub. To make it so that you can update your local repo with the changes to the master DineOn (the blasv one) you have to create a 2nd remote called "upstream". The 1st is called "origin" and you should already have it on your system. Set upstream to pull from blasv. Then to update you fetch from blasv and merge to your repo. I can make a more detailed doc on this if there are problems.

Good catch Nicholas. Your explanation makes a lot of sense. just a quick question did you add another remote via the command console. That seems to me the only way to do it.

I added the remote in eclipse using the the git repository view. There you can see a remotes area and can create a new one.
