High CPU usage by omiserver

Hello we are experiencing a similar issue. Restarting the service via '/opt/omi/bin/service_control restart' resolves the high cpu condition for a few days until it dramatically rises once again.

same issue here. even uninstalled by running ./opt/microsoft/scx/bin/uninstall and deleted the whole /opt folder but it got installed again and went to 50 percent cpu uage and also network output is very high like 600mb in average.

in VM extensions azure poratnel OMSAgent is in transition state. When uninstall it, it's ok for some hours then again it goes into this state.

I am also facing the same issue and OMI server is consuming ~76% of the memory in the machine due to which other services on my machines keeps failing.

What version of OMI is installed on these machines? Running /opt/omi/bin/omicli id can help with that. Certainly, most of the comments implies it is an older version of OMI.

errno 24 = Too many open files

We did fix an issue related to this some time ago, maybe around OMI version 1.3.*. Of course there may be more issues we are not aware of.

lsof | grep omi may help to determine what files are actually being leaked.

I would recommend upgrading OMI Home Page. New packages are available there, or instructions on getting them from the Microsoft package repository. OMI does support upgrade.
