@richagi might be able to provide some additional guidance regarding the deprecation.

The recommendation now that the SDK is no longer available to new customers is to write your app to support modern authentication or place it behind App Proxy if supported.

@billmath thanks for the info. it calms me to hear that there is still something in progress for that gap.
@MicrosoftGuyJFlo my questionin other words; Microsoft Identity Manager rely on the Azure MFA SDK (in special the authentication package) and because MIM use it in workflows, its not feasible to switch to modern auth nor app proxy .. as its not used in the publishing process... and i wanted to know when to expect some updates on this (as the MIM MFA integration artikel - link in my first comment) brings the statement for eraly 2018 .. what i think is right now ;)

Any news of how we should handle MFA in custom apps? In our case we want to use the API to check the second factor on special actions. This page https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/authentication/concept-mfa-licensing shows that with premium it's possible to do "MFA for on-premises applications". Any documentation?
