Hi neonstalwart, I knew this would come up at some point... the thing is that the codesearch is a rather non-standard plugin to begin with (by which I mean not part of the core WebDAV functionality) and making it work with other shells is not easy as pie. This already shows by the fact that you had to escape the asterisk.
I'm very happy with the code sample you've shared! Wouldn't this be good material to be added to a wiki, for example?

i definitely agree that codesearch is not really a core functionality of WebDAV. because of this, it actually took a little bit of digging to figure out where the code lived. i had expected it to be somewhere more specifically related to the ide rather than in WebDAV.
i understand if you don't want to implement this - that's ok by me. i really just shared it to give it some exposure. adding it to a wiki would be a good idea. although i'm not sure if people would think to look at the WebDAV wiki for this kind of info if they didn't already know where it was implemented. for now i'll just close the ticket and carry around my patch. thanks.
