fmir's Issues

Automatically split queries spanning long time intervals

The FMI API limits individual queries to certain maximum time spans based on the type of measurement frequency:

measurement interval maximum time span
"real time" (10 minutes) 168 hours = 7 days
daily 8 928 hours = 372 days
monthly 87 600 hours = 3 650 days

If you want to pull data on a given interval for longer time spans than specified above, you'll have to split the query into several separate queries. This process could be done automatically either in fmi_query or fmi_data when the user supplies a starttime and an endtime that span an interval longer than what the API allows the for the given measurement interval.

Turn queries into an S3 class

This would allow for flexible access to query parameters, rather than having to parse a character string. Different "types" (i.e. "real-time", daily, monthly) could be subclasses of "methods" (i.e. simple, timevaluepair) which are subclasses of fmi_query.

Accept vector arguments as query parameters

At least the place argument should be vectorised to easily support multiple locations. Possible functionality:

fmi_query_params(list(place = c("Oulu", "Helsinki"))
# [1] "place=Oulu&place=Helsinki"
