@sponsfreixes That certainly is possible, but when you run the database in the same cluster, you would most likely already have a secret that specify username and password. This would be extra work and can course problems when not having a single source of truth for database credentials.
It's even more troublesome if you (like me) uses an operator for provisioning of high available PostgreSQL clusters, where you can use random generated usernames and passwords.
