Invalid interactions when sampling `roughplastic` in debug mode

Unfortunately I can't reproduce this bug on Ubuntu 18. Could you please try to pull the latest master (don't forget to update the submodule git submodule update --recursive and try again?

This seems to be only reproducible on MacOS. We will look into it.

I confirm, I just ran the test suite again with the latest master and the tests failed.

I'm currently installing mitsuba2 in my linux 20.04 machine. I cloned the mitsuba 2 repo (git clone --recursive https://github.com/mitsuba-renderer/mitsuba2), chose mitsuba variants and tried to configure mitsuba variants by going to the
mitsuba directory
and typed
cp resources /mitsuba.conf.template mitsuba.conf
-I then compiled the system following mitsuba 2 document.
then
-I ran source setpath.sh
So i iported mitsuba to see if it works , i was sucessfull.
Now when i'm trying to access mitsuba variants it give's me an error which says :
AttributeError: module 'mitsuba' has no attribute 'variants'
Question : i would like to ask if is there any thing that i need to do when i'm configuring variants or what?
