IIRC there was a similiar issue that only occured for a certain Cover column width.
Does resizing that column make any difference?
Also, are you able to check whether this is a regression introduced in 2.4?
from mixxx.
when i have my screen full with tracks (hitting space to show playlist)
2.5 alpha, windows
narrowest possible setting: 7.5fps
half screen width: 5.7fps
widest possible setting: 3.5fps
2.4, windows has similar results
2.3, windows has other interesting effects:
none of the tracks shows missing artworks.
very narrow: all tracks show up and fps 60.0
pretty wide: 60fps (not sure how many pixels, but i guess around 1/6th of my screen width which is around 666 pixels...
little wider: album arts start to flicker, fps drop to 24.
full screen width column: no album arts visible, 18.99 fps
i can do tests on linux if necessary too.

Interesting!
Can you update the issue description with steps to reproduce? (it's about scrolling I assume)
from mixxx.
I updated the original issue with steps to reproduce.
If it was only scrolling I'd be happy. the entire GUI becomes laggy when playing a track and it even creates problems in the audio. I discovered it while i was trying to trace some other bug related to loops and pitch... (or actually I'm not entirely sure about the audio effects. I still need to figure this out precisely)
