I cannot reproduce the issue you are claiming. At least on the major browsers 
that I
test usually (FF3, Opera10, IE7, Chrome4 and Safari4).

Please provide an URL where that issue can be reproduced, or specify your 
browser
version and OS.

PS: It is possible to notice a small "missing chunk" of recorded time, 
depending on
the property `postInterval` when you call `smt2.record()`, but if you set that
property to 2 seconds (default value), at most you could lost the last 2 
seconds of
mouse activity (and not 20 seconds).

I must say that definitely the time stored on DB is aproximate.

 1. Time yourself using the website you are recording. Take note of the amount of seconds.
 2. Then time yourself while replaying the visualization and compare. Both times are almost equal.
