Hmm, interesting. I don't think we ever tested in Opera. Did you build
walkaround on your machine, or are you testing with a public demo instance?

Same experience here, using Opera 12.00 alpha build, Windows 7, x64. I visited
the (only working) public demo instance.

Note that the reported Opera 11.60 version above is a public beta since 11.60
has not been released yet. However, I doubt the experience differs from the
current 11.52 client, as Google's official Wave never worked correctly in
Opera. I was just hoping it might work in this version of Wave, and with a
never Opera :)

I was testing public demo. I even enabled websockets in opera:config, but still
no change.

I confirm latest stable Opera 11.52 doesn't work either.

I just made a code change to enable the Opera GWT permutation. I didn't test
it much but it looks like it works.

Note that the test instances won't have this code change until their owners
deploy the new code. Those of you who are on Linux can easily to download &
compile walkaround to test immediately:
http://code.google.com/p/walkaround/wiki/RunningTheCode . It's probably less
easy on Windows.

By the way, walkaround does not use websocket, so I don't think that setting
would make a difference.
