What would you like to use this package for? :) The Rosenbrock function is a nonconvex function for benchmarking optimization algorithms, however modAL is not for optimization, it is for active machine learning.

If you wish to work on multidimensional problems where the feature space and target space is higher dimensional as well, you can also do that. There is no need to set any kernel for this, just simply fit your models with the multidimensional data.

I want to use querying strategies in modAL on a multi dimension Rosenbrock function. My target is not optimization but to get the best out of next sampling.

Sure, it depends on how you define the best out of next sampling. If you would like to learn the multidimensional Rosenbrock function with a regressor, you can definitely do it in modAL.

So actually it turned out that there was a problem with multidimensional Bayesian optimization. However, the issue is fixed and the fix is in the master branch!
