Ok so I’ll let others chime in here on this, but I’m on the fence about implementing this, though I do think it’s pretty neat that there is a specific postcss plugin to do so:

1. MQ height I don’t think is a deal breaker

2. Root setting on html is something we’d all need to agree on as that has greater implications as currently we tend to use a wide variety of units all over the place in projects

3. Pretty lame that this is a safari bug in IE9+ and that the workaround is vendor prefix that requires additional writing.

As a bulk of FE's are working heads down on a project with a tight deadline this week, let's hold on this particular potential enhancement until probably later next week.

Posting an update on this for visibility. I did some demoing this morning w/ Rucksack, but postcss-responsive-type basically works in the same fashion. It appears that Safari still hasn't resolved their issue w/ calculating vw/vh sizes. Devs have now resorted to writing really hacky JS fixes, for example: https://codepen.io/2kool2/full/PKGrdj/

Unfortunately, there's still no great way to implement fluid type 😢
