Use alpha version of collections 2.0.0 (https://github.com/modxcms/Collections/blob/develop/_packages/collections-2.0.0-alpha.transport.zip). That is compatible with MODX 2.3

@theboxer Thanks for the follow-up. I realize it's still an alpha release, but just so you know, I'm getting a blank page when attempting to edit a collections container or child for that matter. I made sure to uninstall and remove previous versions of the package.

Try to clear cache (modx & browser) I didn't had problem with that....

@theboxer i cleared the browser's cache and MODX cache both from within the manager and by manually emptying the core/cache folder. I even uninstalled Tagger to see if it caused issues, but there's still a blank page.

This was tested with FF and Chrome latest releases. I'm running the July 2 nightly of MODX on Windows 8.

Still can't update Collections on 2.3.1

Fresh installation of 2.1.0-pl on a fresh installation of Revo 2.3.1 and it has the Update button highlighted, and the above error when clicking on it. There has to be a version field somewhere that wasn't updated correctly, but I haven't been able to find it.

I tried to update a MODX 2.2.14 installation with collections 1.3.2. After the update to MODX 2.3.1 the old collections worked as expected partiell (missing processor). The result of update to collections 2.1.0 is an empty resource view of collection resources.
I cleared all caches (including browser cache), de- and re-installed it and tried to remove it manually (including MySQL Database tables) before re-installation. Always the same result.

(A new installation at a MODX project without an old collections installation worked fine.)

At the moment I use the old collections 1.3.2 at my new MODX 2.3.1 installation, because it's the only way to get it working.

Collections 1.x are not compatible with MODX 2.3.x.

I am not sure what happened wrong when you updated to Collections 2.1.x and why you are getting an empty resource....

You can update Collections to the newest version and if it will not work again, you can send me credentials to [email protected] I can take a look what went wrong there...

Problem solved (thanks to John!). Maybe someone else has the same problem:
../assets/components/collections/css/ and ./js/
The file permissions of these two folders (js and css) and its files were wrong after update (group not readable). After setting group readable it works.
