Sorry on the delay here @pdemaria

I have never tested it, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. When working with AWS we are supposed to always set the region in the configuration, something like:

const SES = new AWS.SES({ accessKey: "key", secretAccessKey: "key", region: "region" })

SES has a limited amount of regions, I don't see AWS limiting you to set your whole application (or even some services) to the same limited amount of regions that SES has.

Yes it is. You can set up the region you intend to use in the config files.
I suggest you take some time and read the documentation on SES and other services used by MoonMail. Some knowledge is required to be able to set up and run everything.

Ok, sorry... time is valuable and I just really need to be sure of a solution before I get into things with it. Just so we're 100% clear, the bits that hold personal information type data (the DynamoDB bits) at rest can be in the Central Canada region, while the SES bits are in say... the Virginia region, and things will still run?
