It seems that there were quite a few things wrong with these old piece of code, probably more importantly The wrong assumption that "".isspace()==True
. After fixing this and doing some rewriting, things now Kinda work but there are still technicalities with using big ROIs and vertical descriptions as you can see below

Also 64109fc fixed a typo I introduced in the development branch Which was causing an infinite loop when inside comments. Technically, It was supposed to be two separate commits but an accident Cause them to be committed And pushed together

It seems that while Refactoring the code for obtaining the origin node from the selection, I forgot a small technicality, namely that nodes that do not correspond to regions of the code, Such as ast.Store,get A text range of (0,0) by asttokens , Causing problems when the origin is at the beginning of the file
This is now solved But I'm leaving it here for future reference
