Inhowfar do you experience problems with the User-Agent entry?
If not set, it should still be valid and default to
User-Agent: Java/1.7.0_11
or something similar (depending on the version).

The OSM tile server usage policy says this:
Technical Usage Requirements
- Valid User-Agent identifying application.
If "User-Agent: Java/1.7.0_11" is the default aren't we just identifying the java runtime but not the actual application? I would have thought we'd need to include a string to identify the app?
JXMapViewer2 works fine with the user-agent default as is, but if I'm releasing an application using the OSM tile server I need to ensure I'm adhering to their usage policy, which I don't think the default user-agent entry does?
