I would very much like to see this, as it would cut down on a lot of the noise on the team@ list.

it would also be nice if we could filter out-of-office messages from people who have signed up for alerts, rather than sending them to the whole team.

Half of this is done. We do not yet alert users that their emails have been disabled when they log in.
