Create importable simulations

Make a file that allows us to import functions like the following:

• select_number_of_cards
• calculate_rewards

Results view

The results view from the simulation should look something like:

• Number of cards recommended
• Rewards profile
• Annual bonus broken down by each category
• toggling between cards (removing cards if they want)
• application / review links for recommended cards

Annual Bonuses

Parse in annual bonuses like the following:

• travel credit
• TSA precheck credit
• dining credit
• etc

Remove / deprioritize some cards

Some cards either have zero rewards or are carbon copies of other cards. Possibly remove them from simulations to speed up rewards calculations. Leave them in the database as options for people to search, but just have them lower priority.

Create ML way of selecting number of cards for a user

The process of stochastically searching 1-10 number of cards requires 10,000 simulations. Using another method to determine a better guess of number cards so we can do a guided search.

e.g. ML would predict a user needs 2 cards, so we search 1, 2, and 3 card options rather than 1-10

Database view

Need the following in a table:

• Credit card name
• Rewards profile
• Annual fee
• Annual bonus
• Rotating categories
• Link to review
• Link to application

Some credit cards have annual fees, we need to parse those out

Make plotter into an importable function

This will be used when visualizing the following information:

• spider plots
• number of cards over simulations
• word cloud
• others?

Parsing point values

We need reward information for the following categories:

• Airlines
• Hotel
• Dining
• Grocery
• Gas
• Other
