It should get solved with the last PR #35
As mentioned the previous PR seemed to solve the problem but was just the packaging, once you run with the bundle it gets another problem.
From similar discussions on other plugins we realize the real problem are the helpers, not the strict.

I would like to have the last changes available in npm.
