Fifth contact on switch PCB

Hi, I’m working on modding the same commercial HDMI switch you used for this project, the HDSW0015M1_1V4. Like you, I found the five pads on the PCB, two of which are wired to the buttons and the next two ground and 3.3V.

Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to figure out what the fifth pad in that row is for. Have you found what it’s used for?

My project is to build a mod that allows me to control the HDSW0015M1_1V4 over a serial connection, very similar to your Origin but without the extra switches and without the touch screen, just serial control for automation.
