From my experience, JS toolbars like that only bring frustration. I haven't seen any that work as expected. Markdown was also designed for power users, that know what they do. It is much simpler that way.

Damn, I have removed one sentence from the readme some time ago. It was like "all UI widgets are unwelcome. Django-markdownx is not a shitty MS Word web editor imitation".

Previously, I didn't mean to compare my plugin with this markdownx, but in my project need more supporting features.

Hello @queiroz, this django-markdownx was inspired me to create same markdown editor which following these features:

• Integrated with Ace Editor
• Integrated with Semantic-UI
• Live Preview
• Upload Image to imgur.com (via API)
• Emoji :emoji_name: + Cheat sheet
• Direct Mention users @[username] - (require user to logged in)
• Highlight pre
• Django Admin support
• Toolbar Buttons

By default using API Imgur to upload an image, but also provide a custom uploader at wiki page
