This might be related to user error or an unsupported setup. I have somewhat special mount options and am using btrfs subvolumes on lvm on an mdmadm RAID1 for my system. It's most likely related to one of those.
Even with all extra mount options removed from the subvolumes (except snapshots), the issue still persists.
I have removed all except space_cache=v2,compress=zstd,ssd,discard=async,subvol=/@....
Meaning that it must be something other than mount options.
