@tux-world were you able to create a single service instance for socketio? Where did you put the onUserJoined, onNewMessage function, I wanted to test it. I'm trying to achieve the same thing... http://stackoverflow.com/questions/40603404/how-to-handle-socket-events-as-background-service-in-android but I think your code is more correct? Is this working? Thanks for any advice. 😄

Like where did you implement this? In the Service or in the Activity?
