Opted for two types of graphs:
- shows the transmitted data as a bar graph (series of geom_rect) with varying colors for temperature and date along the x axis. To make the bars more visible, I expanded the time 4 hours in each direction
- shows an interpreted grid of temperature at depth over time. used the Akima spline for interpretation based on this example. might look into other options (e.g.
interp::interp())
