I think we can cancel this one since we move co-sharing to a top level button...
anyhow the effect you're looking for is something that blinks to catch the user eye - so probably need some javascript that will change the style to a blink and back with some repeated timer...

i did and it doesn't seem like its blinking - only changes color on hover.

sure. we'll add a timer to change between each and it'll blink.

but we already use buttons with bootstrap styles - why do you want to add a "fancy" gradient button?
also the code there uses the button:onhover to change behavior when mouse hovers which is irrelevant.
so you don't need anything from that example... just need javascript that will repeatedly add and remove a class to the button, and that class could be anything you want - text-color, background color, border, etc.
