ShowHiddenChannels Plugin Returns

DevilBro, author of this plugin, and BetterDiscord developers have deleted ShowHiddenChannels plugin from the official BetterDiscord site >:C.

But this plugin still can be found in the commit history of their repository! Proof: (They removed a few lines from the config file that were needed to plugin's work. Without them it just doesn't work even if you install the previous version from their repository)

I already save it for you, anonymous <3. You just need to download it and follow the short instructions below.

Installation

1. Download and extract the files.
2. Drop «ShowHiddenChannelsReturns.plugin.js» into your plugin folder.
3. Run Discord.
4. ???
5. Profit!!!

UPD: NOW DON'T NEED TO REPLACE «OBDFDB.data.json»!!!

UPD 2: DO NOT RENAME FILENAME AND ITS METADATA TO «ShowHiddenChannels» — BETTER DISCORD WILL AUTO UPDATE IT!!!

Compatibility with new Discord update

With the new Discord update, breaking majority of plugins across all client mods, will you be updating the plugin, or will this plugin become a relic of the past?

For those Everyone who are Expecting this Plugin to get fixed

ShowHiddenChannels has hit EOL [End of Life]. This means this plugin is no longer updated or maintained. This plugin is against TOS of BetterDiscord and hence, shall be not present on their website. Therefore, there is little to no chance of this plugin getting fixed unless some other developer fixes it and updates it on github or similar platforms. Plugins downloaded from other sources are harmful and may lead to hijack/suspension of your Discord Account.

Edit: Even Updating BDFDB will not fix the issue, as the issue is in plugin itself and not the library.

i followed steps - downloaded .js file, dropped it into the plugins folder, relaunched discord.

am i missing something?

Currently not working.

I downloaded both the released version and the .js files in the master, but neither has worked.
I've tried both with Discord open and closed. I also tried reloading.
The plugin says it loaded correctly and is enabled, but it doesn't appear to show the hidden channels.

(Suggestion) Mark the files as Read Only.

Better discord still changes those files back to being useless anyway.

The way to fix this is to mark both OBDFDB.data.json and ShowHiddenChannels.plugin.js as READ ONLY.

This might be temporal, but it prevents better discord to update it, therefore, not prompting the user to delete it, loading it happily.

Not starting up consistently

Everytime I start discord every plugin loads except this one. You would have to go into your plugin library and hit reload for it to start.

Sorry to open an issue for this, but I tried several times but I still get the latest plugin version, deleted all files from my plugins folders and moved the repo files inside plugin folders, am I doing something wrong?

Not working

I did the installation as indicated, but the plugin does not work. I installed the plugin and the BDFDB library in the latest version. However, I don't see any hidden rooms.
Can anyone help me?

There is currently another group of people trying to fix this big issue.

They also have their own Discord and Subreddit dedicated to all of this (you can find it on opened issue there)
All I'm saying is if you could potentially team up with them and unite your efforts I think that'd be great.
If more similar projects arise I will try to notify you and them.

Hello^^ I tried using this plugin.. It downloaded the library plugin too. Somehow it didn't show the hidden channels in my private discord. Is there any important step that I missed? I downloaded the plugin and put it in the plugin folder and turned it on. Didn't work. Please let me know any updates on this issue :)

auto update should be removed.

REmove * @updateURL https://mwittrien.github.io/BetterDiscordAddons/Plugins/ShowHiddenChannels/ShowHiddenChannels.plugin.js from the js or it will auto update and delte.

I can't get the plugin to work properly

how exactly do I use this plugin? I assume I just drag both files included in the download into the plugins folder, but it's not working and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
