I think you can just redirect stderr to a file, and see the error there..

./myscript.py &> errors.log or ./myscript.py 2> errors.log if you use an old version of bash.

2> will redirect only stderr, &> will redirect both stdout and stderr to a file

Or it is a deprectated syntax.. anyways.. google for I/O redirection and you'll find the stuff you need. Termbox doesn't use stdout/stderr it opens its own file descriptors for /dev/tty
