If i am understanding you correctly, you believe that the application should prompt for a filename to save as when the "filename" Metadata is missing? Or should it just fall back to the "name" Metadata?
I'm not sure how it is handled currently, so if you could be more verbose in what is happening it could only help.

You are right.
Right now, the suggested name is: Unnamed attachment
Falling back to the name metadata would be better.
And if there is no name, then we can really name it unnamed :)

I will try. I think nylas might have the right behaviour sending the email (filling both the name and filename). I need to figure out which of those MUA don't (pretty sure it's outlook…)

Actually, it is an automated email sent by the pay system of my accountant.
It is not outlook.

I have another issue with outlook, I'll create a new issue about it.
