Are the filings available on the FTP server anywhere other than the ZIP files of each day's filings (ftp://ftp.fec.gov/FEC/electronic/)? If those ZIP files are what you're referring to, it would really just provide a "filings by date" option. I would vote for instead letting Fech to use the electronic filing search (http://www.fec.gov/finance/disclosure/efile_search.shtml) to allow for listing filings by any of the options provided there (searching by committee could be especially useful).

Yeah, I guess filings by date would be the only way to do that. I could see an integration of the FEC search form, tho.
