The mammogram images are extracted from DICOM and saved as png without any modification except for normalization to 16-bit unsigned integer. As far as our model can see, the original DICOM images and normalized 16-bit images are identical because we apply standardization to image pixel values in runtime.

But there are two types of mammogram images in DICOM. Please refer to http://dicom.nema.org/medical/dicom/2015c/output/chtml/part03/sect_C.8.11.html
for details.
One is FOR_PROCESSING and one is FOR_PRESENTATION. Which image types the dataset contains?

The value of PresentationIntentType for all of our images are "FOR PRESENTATION".
