looks like linker issue - gcc cannot to find. Search libncurses and set LD_PATH .. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/3374767/gcc-linkage-option-l-alternative-ways-how-to-specify-the-path-to-the-dynamic-l?noredirect=1

[root@nemesis pspg]# whereis libncurses
libncurses: /usr/lib64/libncurses.so
[root@nemesis pspg]# whereis libncursesw
libncursesw: /usr/lib64/libncursesw.so

so I tried

gcc -L. -lncursesw pager.c -o pager
gcc -lncursesw -L. pager.c -o pager
gcc pager.c -o pager -L. -lncursesw

and the last line did work!

To wrap up:

git clone https://github.com/okbob/pspg.git postgres-pager
cd postgres-pager
sudo apt-get install build-essential libreadline-dev libncurses5-dev libncursesw5-dev
gcc pager.c -o pager -L. -lncursesw
./pager -d

downloads the source, installs dependencies, compiles the programs and runs the executable to show an overview of the running Postgres instance. Possibly, one of the libncurses* dependencies could be left out, not sure.
