Nice solution. However this way the conversation scope is tied to the view scope instead of the request scope. So theoretically you can't have multiple conversations within the same request (not sure though if that's possible; I've never really used the conversation scope).

Best solution would be to actually add that hidden parameter to the JSF form(s), exactly like intented by the CDI spec authors. This can be done via a custom PartialViewContext (OmniFaces already has one) which adds current ViewHandler#getActionURL() to ajax response and some helper script which runs on complete of every ajax request, replacing all form action URLs with the obtained one, more or less with same ideology as OmniFaces current FixViewState: http://showcase.omnifaces.org/scripts/FixViewState
