docs.omnivore's Issues

Add links to edit documentation

There is a lot of friction in improving the docs for users (aka a Google search away). This could be improved by adding a link to the respective markdown file on GitHub.

Add export functionality

Hi,

I'm a new to Omnivore. Up to now I use/d Pocket and/or wallabag and like the UI and responsiveness of Omnivore.

I did search the issue list here and the documentation and I do miss the possibility to export all items, including labels, notes and so on.

Is such a feature planned?

Adding information about deleted items

I was going to do some changes in the documentation based on this Discord thread :

  • adding a section about deleting items in the Organizing page and mention the auto-purge on a 2-weeks basis (to be confirmed)
  • adding a section on the in:trash filter in the Search page

French Translation

I can translate the documentation in french as there is already a french version of omnivore's landing page it could be useful for french speakers to have a documentation in their language.

Add section about Pocket import/integration to importing.md

I am playing with migrating from Pocket to omnivore. I found an article where the author wrote a jupyter notebook to take the HTML export from Pocket, process it with Python, and upload it via API access to omnivore. I also found a reddit post that mentioned that an official means was implemented. I didn't find any mention of this on the https://docs.omnivore.app/using/importing.html, but later stumbled onto it in https://omnivore.app/settings/integrations. Now that the integration is there, the importing.md should have a short section about the Pocket integration/import.

.opml import functionality for Feeds

Hello!

Usually, services like Feedly, NewsBlur, and standalone RSS readers allow to export current list of subscriptions in a standard OPML file, which then can be imported into other similar services and apps.

It would be nice if Feeds section in Omnivore could support this feature.

Thanks ever so much.

Documentation should clarify plugin syncing across devices

The documentation on the Omnivore-Obsidian integration does not mention whether the Omnivore plugin needs to be installed separately on each device using the same vault. I use Obsidian Sync across devices, but the plugin did not sync automatically. It would be helpful if the documentation clarified whether this is expected behavior or if it’s a syncing issue.

Suggested Update: Include details on plugin syncing behavior across multiple devices using Obsidian Sync. Especially, it's important to know if you should use the same API key for each installation of the vault, or if each vault needs a new API key from Omnivore.

Thank you!
