Many of the current "AI-powered calendars" interface with the user's existing calendar and automatically schedule events given user preferences, considering buffer times, traffic, etc. I wanted to find automation opportunities that are currently not being implemented by current apps on the market. I would implement OpenAdapt's scheduling automation by interfacing with the relevant APIs below, then call a given "booking", "email response", etc. workflow.
Task Possibilities:
- interface with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams to automatically sign-in/start the meeting without having to go back to the email/calendar to retrieve the link
- automatically send an email to the event attendees if the user is running late (online: the user is not on their device (no input detected in the last x minutes; in-person: if the user's location is not within x meters of the meeting location)
- going through the user's email, checking the user's calendar, automatically responding to them with availability/confirmation (eg. using the Outlook Rest API)
- similarly, automatically booking weekly events, or events with a consistent location/format (eg. going to gym, coffee chats, learning how much time the user realistically spends with the event by using their location)

@abrichr What would be your thoughts on the functionality for how OpenAdapt would automate the scheduling process (especially with potentially competing apps)?
