Also, I'm looking through the code files trying to find section where damage is calculated..anyone care to point me in the right direction? Or has someone data mined it already and care to share? I'd like to see exactly how might,aim,bless,ss etc. are factored into the combat mechanics

look at player.kod, GetDamage. To actually see the spell effects you'll have to go through the spells and look at their ModifyDamage and ModifyHitroll functions.
This is the 'forum' for now, we've got a lot of work to do in terms of website and wiki.
