Thanks for reporting this. Indeed rsdmx has not been yet tested with ECB. I will look this issue ASAP and let you know.

@beberking, i've provided a fix in the master branch to the error you reported above. I've tested with the ECB url you provided, it works. To test, please reinstall first rsdmx from Github, doing:

require(devtools)
install_github("rsdmx","opensdmx")
