Do you collapse the phylogeny node and the taxon?
Or do you not relate them?

Nodes that have names are taxonomy nodes. So there is no additional relationship. They are connected together with the TAXCHILDOF relationships. This should make for more efficient traversal and name query (and taxonomy walking).
