No - opm/flow does not do this.

Are you certain Eclipse does?

from opm-tests.

Thanks for your reply Joakim.

Here is an except from the ECLIPSE manual:
"
ECLIPSE 100 Note ECLIPSE 100 checks if the units specified in the INCLUDE or IMPORT file are
consistent with the units specified in the RUNSPEC section of the dataset. If necessary,
it then does the appropriate conversion assuming an origin at (0,0,0).The conversion is
only applied up to the end of the next INCLUDE/IMPORT file (so care needs to be
taken if the data grid is split into separate files), or until the end of the GRID section.
If this is not satisfactory, check that the GRIDUNIT keyword is correct. If necessary,
re-export the data from the gridding software using the correct units.
"
Except if I am not interpretating those statements correctly. But I think it does what I expect.

I worked on a script to convert corner-point-grid data (in a previous role) and maybe could be useful for this task.

I hoping to ask my contact to re-export to field units if possible.

Also, is there a backlog of features to adding to OPM?

I agree with your assessment.

I worked on a script to convert corner-point-grid data (in a previous role) and maybe could be useful for this task.

Sounds good - there is probably code in the OPM ecosystem which could be used for this, but we do not have a ready-made streamlined solution to your problem.

Also, is there a backlog of features to adding to OPM?

Unfortunately no - there is no public/official backlog. The large topic currently getting much attention from the main developers is prediction. I agree that a public backlog would have been valuable.

When/if this: OPM/opm-common#898 is merged you should have a utility which would simplify the conversion process

I'll see if I can request the grid data in FIELD units in the time being.

Yes, I agree that, since there are functionalities in OPM to process CGP data already, some of the code can be re-used for the conversions to other unit systems.

Unfortunately no - there is no public/official backlog. The large topic currently getting much attention from the main developers is prediction. I agree that a public backlog would have been valuable.

What do you mean by prediction? Is this related to prediction in history-matching context or just in general?

Also, we can close this issue.

from opm-tests.

I'm closing this now. There's been no development for three years and this situation is unlikely to change. We don't have sufficient capacity to implement this feature, however desirable, at the current time.
