Cannot import name QsciScintilla

Hi Carson,

Is your qscintilla2 from Homebrew?

What is the error or crash you are seeing?

Sometimes, when you have updated sip/pyqt beyond the versions used to build qscintilla2, then you may end up with a segfault. So, qscintilla2 needs rebuilt. Try:

brew reinstall qscintilla2

If you are using the system Python, instead of Homebrew's, make sure you have a .pth file for Homebrew's site-packages in your system's site-packages. (Hmm, don't see that noted on the Python page yet.) Or, try adding Homebrew's site-packages path to the PYTHONPATH in the QGIS.app/Contents/Info.plist under the LSEnvironment section.

Woot! The brew reinstall qscintilla2 did it, thanks @dakcarto you rock!

Also, brew instructed me to do this:

  mkdir -p ~/Library/Python/2.7/lib/python/site-packages
  echo '/usr/local/lib/python2.7/site-packages' > ~/Library/Python/2.7/lib/python/site-packages/homebrew.pth
